En un reciente concierto de Scott Weiland en Nueva York, el vocalista retó a un asistente al show a una pelea sobre el propio escenario. De acuerdo a Grunge Report, el ex-frontman de Stone Temple Pilots, le dedicó las siguientes palabras:
¿Así que tu eres el que me está haciendo el rollo ese de la pistola? Entonces ven y enfréntate a mi hombre a hombre. Vas de duro ahí detrás de la barrera. Me encantaría. (Mientras se dirige a un miembro de la seguridad) Si, ese tío. Confía en mi. Y no me olvido, tíos como tu malgastan el dinero. Es decir, dejadle que se quede y que se nos vaya la olla a todos. Esta noche no podrá dormir.

“So you’re fuckin’ pulling that fuckin’ like gun shit off on me? Then come up and meet me one on one man. You play tough guy from an audience behind a barricade. [talking to security guard regarding fighting him] I’d love to. Yeah, that guy. Trust me. And just don’t forget it guys like you fuckin’ waste your money. I mean, actually, let him stay here, and just get all fuckin’ riled up. He won’t be able to sleep tonight.”

Además del álbum original remasterizado, la «Edicion Deluxe» incluye un CD y un DVD con una actuación del grupo en directo, así como una canción inédita y tres nuevas canciones, en donte en todas ellas encontramos a Lanegan sustituyendo a Layne Staley.

Seattle alt-rock supergroup Mad Season weren’t around long, but they cemented their legacy with one great album, 1995′s ‘Above.’ On April 2, Sony Legacy releases the three-disc ‘Above: Deluxe Edition,’ and Diffuser.fm is honored to be giving away a copy. Our one lucky winner also gets a Mad Season T-shirt, which we’re guessing pairs nicely with a long-sleeve thermal undershirt or ratty thrift-store cardigan. While the prize tee is pretty sweet, the real draw here is the music. Mad Season marked a collaboration between Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready, Alice in Chains singer Layne Staley and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin, and several of the ‘Above’ cuts featured fellow scene giant Mark Lanegan on vocals. In addition to the remastered original album, the ‘Deluxe Edition’ includes a CD and DVD of the group’s final live performance, as well as one previously unreleased tune and three new songs, all of which find Lanegan stepping in for the late Staley and singing over music intended for Mad Season’s aborted sophomore effort.
