Hablando de la fiebre por los ‘talents’ musicales que pueblan las televisiones de todo el mundo, se cabrea porque quienes son encargados de juzgar a los participantes no son precisamente los más indicados para hacerlo.
Creo que la gente debería sentirse animada a ser ella misma. Eso es lo que me revienta de todos esos programas donde la gente es juzgada de forma tan dura por putos músicos que apenas tocan un instrumento en sus putos álbumes. Me cabrea cosa mala.
Juro por dios que si mi hija subiera a un escenario y se dejara el corazón y algún puto millonario la mirara y dijera, “No, lo siento, ¡no eres buena!” Juro por dios que estrangularía a ese cabrón. ¿Quién coño eres para decir qué es bueno y qué es malo?
Además, considera el frontman de Foo Fighters que los programas solo hacen que homogeneizar la música de forma que “todo el mundo suene como la puta Christina Aguilera.”
Concluye:
La próxima vez que alguien te diga que no eres buen cantante dile: “Que te jodan”. Entrevisté a Neil Young y me dijo que alguien le dijo, “La banda es realmente genial pero, sinceramente, no deberías ser el cantante”. Si Neil Young hubiese hecho caso a esa persona, no habríamos tenido a Neil Young.

The Foo Fighters frontman claims that many contestants are judged far too harshly by judges that are not musically talented.
Speaking in the current issue of NME he said: «I think people should feel encouraged to be themselves. That’s what bums me out about those shows where people are judged so harshly by fucking musicians that hardly even play an instrument on their own fucking albums. It makes me really mad.»
He added: «I swear to God, if my daughter walked up onstage and sang her heart out and some fucking billionaire looked at her and said, ‘No, I’m sorry you’re not any good,’ I’d fucking throttle that person, I swear to God. Who the fuck are you to say what’s good or bad?»
Grohl also reckons the shows homogenise music so that «everyone sounds like fucking Christina Aguilera.» The Foo Fighters singer added: «The next time someone says you’re not a good singer say: ‘Fuck You’. I interviewed Neil Young and he said in his band someone said to him: ‘The band’s really great, but honestly you shouldn’t be the singer.’ If Neil Young had listened to that person then we wouldn’t have had any Neil Young.»
