The band’s drummer, and later Foo Fighters frontman, Dave Grohl, added, “For once… I’m speechless. From the basements, to the dingy clubs, to the broken down vans, to… the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I’d like to thank the committee not only for this induction, but also for recognizing Nirvana for what we were: pure rock and roll.”

El frontman de Puddle Of Mudd se mete en más líos judiciales después de que no acudiera a un control relacionado con su caso por posesión de cocaína del pasado 2012. El músico evitó entrar en la cárcel a cambio de seguir un programa para superar sus problemas de drogadicción. Ahora, este desacato sin duda no le traerá buenas noticias. Debido a ello, ha sido dictada una orden de detención.

El salón de la fama del Rock and Roll ha anunciado los artistas que serán incluidos el próximo año: Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens y Linda Ronstadt. La E. Street Band de Bruce Springsteen se llevará un premio a la excelencia musical. La ceremonia de inclusión en el museo se llevará a cabo el 10 de abril. Las entradas salen a la venta en enero y será televisado en mayo.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced next year’s inductees: Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens and Linda Ronstadt will all join the class of 2014. The E Street Band will be given the Award for Musical Excellence and Beatles manager Brian Epstein and original Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham will both receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award for non-performers.
The induction ceremony will be held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on April 10th, 2014. It’s the first time the general public will be able to attend the event in New York City. Tickets go on sale in January; HBO will air the event in May.
