Hace 22 años Eddie Vedder, vocalista de Pearl Jam, se cruzó con un fan del grupo cuando junto a sus compañeros de banda iban al cine en Cincinnati a ver “Wayne’s World”. Leemos en Diffuser como el fan, Joe Wolfe, recuerda el encuentro:
Me topé con (Vedder) y la banda cuando iban a al cine a ver “Wayne’s World”. Por aquel entonces no había teléfonos con cámara y me dijo que se haría una foto conmigo la próxima vez que le viese.
Pues eso sucedió: se volvieron a encontrar en Cincinnati, donde Pearl Jam ofrecían un concierto en el U.S. Bank Arena pero Vedder rehusó hacerse la foto. ¿El motivo? El vocalista pensaba que el fan le había robado un porro en aquel encuentro que tuvieron hace 22 años.
Sin embargo, tras el concierto Vedder le invitó a un ‘meet and greet’ teniendo tiempo para hacerse la foto (junto a un autógrafo y una púa).
Vedder explicaba en el concierto el motivo por el que no se quiso hacer la foto en primera instancia (vídeo abajo).

It’s not everyday an internationally-acclaimed rock star keeps a 22-year-old promise to a fan, but that’s exactly happened when Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder took a photo with fan Joe Wolfe at their recent stop in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Twenty-two years ago, Wolfe saw Pearl Jam play Bogarts in Cincinnati — a club that opened its doors in 1905 and has a capacity of 1,500. During their time in Cincinnati, Wolfe ran into the band at a local movie theater.
As he tells us about the initial 1992 encounter: “I ran into [Vedder] and the band when they all went to the theater to see ‘Wayne’s World.’ There weren’t camera phones back then and he said he would do a picture with me the next time I saw him.”
So in 2014, when Wolfe ran into Vedder again in Cincinnati ahead of their show at U.S. Bank Arena (capacity of 18,000), he explained the story. For whatever reason, the iconic frontman opted not to take the picture.
The story doesn’t end there, though.
After the concert, according to Wolfe, Vedder invited him over to shake his hand and snap a photo (he also got an autograph and a guitar pick). Vedder thanked him for being a part of the show that night.

Horas después de actuar en el programa de David Letterman con Zac Brown, Dave Grohl y Taylor Hawkins fueron al McKittrick Hotel de Nueva York para sumarse al concierto que el fotógrafo Danny Clinch ofreció con su Tangiers Blues Band para celebrar el lanzamiento de su nuevo libro. Así, tocaron el “Miss You” de The Rolling Stones y el “From a Buick 6″ de Bob Dylan.
Entre los asistentes Courtney Love, Michael Stipe (REM), Zac Brown o Perry Farrell, que también subió al escenario según leemos en Rolling Stone.
