Los amantes de la música pronto podrán disfrutar durante todo el año de las actuaciones en vivo exclusivas tanto en el interior como al aire libre en la nueva casa de Kexp en el Seattle Center – pero todavía están construyéndolo. En previsión a los espectáculos extraordinarios que llegarán a este lugar, el domingo 23 de agosto a las 19:00, Kexp acoge el Raw Power Kexp, un concierto único en su especie y GRATIS en otro punto de referencia local: el Pike Place Market.
RAW POWER KEXP tiene la presencia de iconos musicales de Seattle como — Mike McCready (Pearl Jam, Mad Season), Duff McKagan (Guns n’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Tuatara), y Mark Arm (Mudhoney) — tocando sus canciones favoritas del grupo pionero del Punk Iggy and the Stooges en la azotea del Pike Place Market. La RAW POWER band tocará directamente debajo del signo icónico del Pike Place (cerca de la esquina de la primera avenida y Pike St). Las calles que rodean el mercado estarán cerradas por la noche para dar cabida a los fans. Este concierto es gratuito y abierto al público.

7:00 p.m.Music lovers will soon be able to enjoy year-round, exclusive live performances both inside and outdoors at KEXP’s New Home at Seattle Center — but we’re still building it. In anticipation of the extraordinary shows to come in the New Home, on Sunday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m., KEXP hosts RAW POWER KEXP, a one-of-a-kind FREE concert at another local landmark: Pike Place Market.
RAW POWER KEXP features four Seattle music icons — Mike McCready (Pearl Jam, Mad Season), Duff McKagan (Guns n’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Tuatara), and Mark Arm (Mudhoney) — performing their favorite songs by punk pioneers Iggy and the Stooges on the Pike Place Market rooftop. The RAW POWER band will play directly underneath the iconic Pike Place Market sign (near the corner of 1st Ave and Pike St). The streets around the market will be closed that evening to accommodate fans. This concert is free and open to the public.
