Seether Announce Details Of New Album ‘Isolate And Medicate’

Los sudafricanos Seether han anunciado que su nuevo disco, titulado “Isolate And Medicate”, llegará el 30 de junio vía The Bicycle Music Company/Concord Music Group/Spinefarm Records. La banda ha vuelto a contar con la mano experta de Brendan O’ Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Mastodon) en la producción. El primer single, “Words As Weapons”, ha sido colgado en su web para su descarga gratuita. Además, a medida que se vaya compartiendo el enlace se irá rellenando una barra que, una vez llegue al final, revelará el vídeo del tema.

De la creación del disco, el frontman, Shaun Morgan, explica:

Me construí una habitación donde poder componer. Me encargué yo mismo de sacar la alfombra, colocar suelo de madera, decorarlo y pintarlo. Tras dejar la carretera, fue un proceso de preparar un ambiente adecuado. Creé un lugar donde me sintiera cómodo y creativo. Pude estar tranquilo y aislado, concentrándome en componer música en lugar de distraerme con los quéhaceres propioas de la mi vida diraria.

Alt-rock trio Seether have announced details of their sixth studio album Isolate And Medicate, which is set for release on the 30th June.

Frontman Shaun Morgan talks of how he constructed a musical refuge in his home to write the album:

“I actually built a room that I could write in. I personally pulled out the carpet, put in wood flooring, decorated, and painted. After getting off the road, it was a process of preparation to get the environment just right.  I made a place that I felt comfortable and creative in. I was able to be safe and isolated, concentrating on writing music instead of dealing with the distractions that come with daily life.”
