Foo Fighters demand strong conditions to photographers

Si eres un fotógrafo profesional en un concierto de los Foo Fighters, tienes el derecho de utilizar fotos de a su elección una sola vez, y después ellos se quedan con todos los derechos de las fotos para siempre.

En un artículo explicando su decisión, el periódico comparte una copia del contrato que fue entregado por Foo Fighters: «Si lo firmamos, estaríamos de acuerdo con que: la banda, daría su visto bueno a las fotos que aparecen en City Paper; pero solo utilizándolas una vez y solo en un artículo; después el copyright se transferiría a la banda», escribe City Paper.

«Después, aquí está la parte graciosa, la banda tendrá el drecho «de sacar beneficio de todas las fotos en cualquier lugar, existente ahora o en el futuro, a través de todo el universo, para siempre, de todas las formas posibles» sin la aprobación o el pago o la consideración hacia el fotógrafo.

If you’re a commercial photographer attending a Foo Fighters gig, you get the right to run photos of their choosing exactly once, and they get all rights to everything you’ve shot forevermore.

In an article explaining its decision, the newspaper shared a copy of the contract that was provided by the Foo Fighters: “If we signed it, we would have agreed to: the band approving the photos which run in the City Paper; only running the photos once and with only one article; and all copyrights would transfer to the band,” writes the City Paper.

“Then, here’s the fun part, the band would have ‘the right to exploit all or a part of the Photos in any and all media, now known or hereafter devised, throughout the universe, in perpetuity, in all configurations’ without any approval or payment or consideration for the photographer.”
