Days of the New has just ended their reunion tour early due to conflicts between band members. Frontman Travis Meeks has just been posted on the Most Wanted list in Gibson County, Indiana, after failing to appear in court for possession of a hypodermic needle. He is on the bottom of page 13, from the Gibson County Sheriff’s website.

Days Of The New han anunciado que la vuelta de la formación original del grupo se ha terminado.

Sabemos que todos estabais esperando un comunicado oficial de la banda y os damos las gracias a todos por vuestra paciencia. Desgraciadamente, debemos informaros que la gira de reunión ha terminado. Travis seguirá haciendo conciertos bajo el nombre de DOTN pero el resto de los miembros originales no estaremos con él. Nos gustaría pediros que no perdáis el tiempo señalando y haciendo acusaciones. Al contrario, nos gustaría pedir a los fans de la banda que sigáis apoyando a los 4 miembros del grupo en sus futuros proyectos.

Esta página fue creada para promocionar la gira de reunión pero ahora que la gira ha terminado, hemos decidido que en lugar de cerrarla, la dejaremos y la usaremos ocasionalmente para poner al día a los fans de DOTN con qué andamos haciendo.

Tomad nota que esto ya no será la página “oficial” de Days Of The New. Si queréis seguir a Travis Meeks, podéis hacer “Like” en Days of the New Presents Tree Colors. Days Of The New have announced that the return of the original lineup is over.

We know that everyone has been waiting for an official statement from the band, and we thank you all for your patience. Sadly, we must inform you that the reunion tour is over. Travis will continue to do shows under the DOTN name, but the rest of the original members will not be with him. We would ask you not to waste time pointing fingers and making accusations. On the contrary, we would ask fans of the band to continue to support all 4 members of the group in their future projects.

This page was created to promote the reunion tour, but now that the tour is over we have decided that instead of taking the page down, we will leave it up and use it occasionally to update DOTN fans about what we are up to.

Take note, this will no longer be the “official” Days of the New page. If you would like to follow Travis Meeks, you can like Days of the New Presents Tree Colors. If you would like to follow Todd Whitener, you can like the Whitener page. If you would like to follow Jesse Vest, you can like The Louisville Crashers. Unfortunately, Matt Taul is not on social media, and is not currently affiliated with a band. When he decides he is ready to play again, we will make a post here to update the fans about his new project.

Ha durado poco la reunión de Days Of The New: después de que el frontman, Travis Meeks, no acudiera a un concierto de la banda el pasado 5 de septiembre y que su errático comportamiento la noche posterior en St. Louis hiciera que sus compañeros de banda abandonaran el escenario, éstos han hecho público un comunicado dando por terminado el regreso del grupo.

Según cuenta uno de los asistentes del ‘show’ de St. Louis, a las seis canciones de concierto y viendo a un Meeks totalmente fuera de si (y probablemente puesto de drogas) y sin atinar ni con acordes ni letras de las canciones, el bajista Jesse Vest le quitó el micro anunciando el fin del grupo y abandonado todos el escenario. Meeks siguió en el escenario para posteriormente bajar a hablar de forma incoherente con el poco público que aún quedaba en la sala y dirigiéndose a gritos a los encargados del ‘stand’ de merchandising y al management.

La banda colgaba ayer el siguiente comunicado:

Disculpas a todos los que vinieron a vernos esta noche en St. Louis. Tratamos de hacer que esto funcionara pero como todo el que ha estado en el concierto de esta noche, ha sido una situación muy difícil.

Hay muchas cosas que aclarar aquí y no queremos seguir alimentando la negatividad. Queremos dejar claro que a Travis no se le presionó a hacer esta reunión. De hecho, fue más bien al revés. Travis literalmente nos suplicó hacer esta gira, por teléfono, por texto y en persona. Ya había cerrado tantas puertas en su carrera que nadie ya le contrataba para hacer un concierto por miedo a que no apareciera. Sabía que la formación original le daría credibilidad al proyecto y le ayudaría a reconstruir su carrera. Desgraciadamente, no ha sido capaz de manejar la responsabilidad o manejar sus problemas.

Hoy, tras unas horas de reposo, al banda ha colgado:

Entendemos que todo el mundo está preocupado y nervioso por oír los detalles de lo que pasó, lo que pasa y qué pasará. Estad tranquilos, haremos un comunicado definitivo sobre el futuro de la banda muy pronto pero por ahora tratamos de despejarnos la cabeza y recuperarnos de un fin de semana muy estresante. Los cuatro apreciamos vuestra paciencia y apoyo.

Meeks ha luchado desde su adolescencia por superar sus problemas de adicciones y pese a múltiples intentos nunca logra dejarlo atrás.

It’s the end of Days Of The New: after the frontman, Travis Meeks, didn’t went to a band concert on 5 September and also, for his erratic behavior the night after St. Louis, – did his band left the stage-, they have released a statement about the ending of the band return.

According to one attendee of the St. Louis’ concert, with six songs in the show and seeing a totally out whether Meeks (and probably because of drugs) without scoring or singing the lyrics, the bassist, Jesse Vest, took the micro announcing the end of the band and abandoned the stage. Meeks went on stage then, talking incoherently with little public that remained in the room and shouting to the owner of the merchandising and the management.

This is a statement from the band:
We apologize to everyone who came to see us in St. Louis tonight. We tried to make this happen, but as anyone who was at the show tonight knows, it was a very difficult situation.
Then they did another statement:
We understand that everyone is concerned and anxious to hear details about what happened, what’s happening, and what happens next. Rest assured, we will be making a definitive statement about the future of the band very soon, but for now we are trying to clear our heads and recover from a very stressful weekend. All four of us appreciate your patience and support.
Meeks has struggled since his teens to overcome their addiction problems despite multiple attempts he has never managed to leave it behind
