Emmy Nominations 2015: Sonic Highways and Montage of Heck

Las nominaciones para los Emmy de 2015 han terminado, y aunque la mayoría de ellas no están relacionadas con la múisca, un puñado de categorías menos importantes si lo están. El show para la HBO de los Foo Fighters Sonic Highways ha sido nominado cuatro veces, y el primer documental oficial sobre Kurt Cobain, Montage of Heck, que debutó en la HBO el pasado mayo, está nominado para siete categorías.

The 2015 Emmy nominations are out, and while most of them aren’t music related, a handful of the lesser-advertised categories are. Foo Fighters’ HBO show Sonic Highways is nominated four times, and the first official Kurt Cobain documentary, which debuted on HBO last May, Montage of Heck, is up for seven.

‘Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck’ Returning to Movie Theaters

Después de un tramo aclamado en el circuito de festivales de cine, una breve carrera teatral y su estreno en HBO, Montage of Heck volverá a los cines este agosto. Abramorama distribuirá la película dirigida por Brett Morgen en cines selectos a partir del 07 de agosto. Montage of Heck ya ha reservado compromisos con el IFC Center de Nueva York y los cines ArcLight de Los Ángeles, así como con cines de ArcLight de todo el país (EE.UU)

After an acclaimed stretch on the film festival circuit, a brief theatrical run and its HBO premiere, Montage of Heck will return to movie theaters this August. Abramorama will distribute the Brett Morgen-directed film at select cinemas starting August 7th. Montage of Heck has already booked engagements at New York’s IFC Center and Los Angeles’ ArcLight, as well as ArcLight Cinemas’ complexes around the country.

The 14th Annual Layne Staley Tribute

La lineup y los detalles del concierto tributo anual a Layne Staley han sido anunciados. El concierto, que hace tributo al fallecido frontman de Alice In Chains, tendrá lugar el 22 de agosto en el Crocodile de Seattle y tendrá bandas tributo en él. Las personas que vayan podrán ver a la banda tributo a Alice In Chains, Jar of Flies, al grupo tributo de Soundgarden / Temple of the Dog Outshined y a una banda tributo a Nirvana llamada Poottana Play For Money.

Una parte de los beneficios del concierto serán donados al Layne Staley Memorial Fund, que ayuda a THS, una organización que tiene el objetivo de rehabilitar a gente y a familias que han sido afectadas por el alcohol o la drogodependencia, incluyendo enfermedades mentales. The lineup and details for the annual Layne Staley Tribute show has been announced. The concert, which honors the late Alice In Chains frontman, will take place on Aug. 22 at The Crocodile in Seattle and will feature three tribute bands. Those in attendance can expect the Alice in Chains cover band Jar of Flies, the Soundgarden / Temple of the Dog tribute group Outshined and a Nirvana cover band called Poottana Play For Money.

A portion of the proceeds made during the event will be donated to the Layne Staley Memorial Fund, which benefits THS, an organization that aims to rehabilitate people and families that have been affected by alcohol and drug dependence or metal illness. Head here to learn more.
