Al parecer, en sus diversas peroratas, el ex-vocalista de Stone Temple Pilots dedicó palabras elogiosas al presidente Obama (“Creo que tenemos un presidente maravilloso, es maravilloso“), justificó su estado (“estaréis pensando que Scott Weiland vuelve a darle a las drogas… No, eso fue hace 11 años pero sigo bebiendo“), alabó a un periodista fallecido (“Peter Jennings es increíble“) y se quejó de como Seattle se lleva toda la atención por el grunge (“la gente lo llamó grunge pero no era grunge… Ocurría en todos sitios“).
